Freezing
Cooked Arborio rice freezes exceptionally well, making it a convenient pantry staple. Allow the rice to cool completely before portioning it into airtight containers or freezer bags. To thaw, transfer the frozen rice to the refrigerator overnight or gently reheat it in a saucepan with a splash of water or broth over low heat until warmed through. While freezing is excellent for preservation, the texture might become slightly softer upon thawing, which is still perfectly suitable for most culinary applications.
