Enjoy your delicious homemade crepes for longer by storing them correctly! These delicate, thin pancakes are best when fresh, but proper storage ensures you can savor their delightful texture and flavor for days to come.
Storage Time
3–4 days in the refrigerator, up to 2 months in the freezer
Temperature
Store refrigerated crepes at or below 4°C (40°F).
Freezing
To freeze homemade crepes, allow them to cool completely. Stack them with parchment paper or wax paper between each crepe to prevent sticking. Place the stacked crepes in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or gently reheat in a skillet or microwave. Frozen crepes may lose a slight bit of their original delicate texture, but are still excellent for a quick meal or dessert.
Signs of Spoilage
- A sour or off odor.
- Visible mold growth, often fuzzy and colored.
- A slimy or sticky texture when touched.
