Storage Time

Temperature
Store cooked hotcakes and sausage in the refrigerator at or below 4°C (40°F). Uncooked sausage should also be kept refrigerated.
Freezing
Cooked hotcakes and sausage can be frozen for longer storage. Allow them to cool completely, then wrap individual portions tightly in plastic wrap followed by a layer of aluminum foil or place them in airtight freezer bags. To thaw, refrigerate overnight or gently reheat from frozen in a microwave or oven. Freezing may slightly alter the texture of the hotcakes, making them a bit softer.
Signs of Spoilage
- A sour or off smell emanating from the food.
- Visible mold growth on the hotcakes or sausage.
- A slimy or sticky texture on the surface of the cooked items.
