Temperature
Store refrigerated cooked pheasant at or below 4°C (40°F).
Freezing
To freeze roast pheasant, allow it to cool completely. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil or place it in a freezer-safe airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Thaw frozen pheasant in the refrigerator overnight for best results, or use the defrost setting on your microwave. Avoid refreezing once thawed.
Signs of Spoilage

- A slimy or sticky texture on the surface of the pheasant.
- Discoloration, such as a grayish or greenish hue, especially around the bones.
