Storage Time
3–4 days in the refrigerator
Temperature
Store refrigerated at or below 4°C (40°F) to maintain optimal freshness and safety.
Freezing
To freeze grilled corn, allow it to cool completely. You can freeze the kernels off the cob or the entire cob. For kernels, spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet before freezing, then transfer to an airtight container or freezer bag. For cobs, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, then in foil or place in a freezer bag. Frozen grilled corn is best used within 6–8 months for peak quality. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or gently reheat from frozen.
Signs of Spoilage
- Unpleasant, sour, or fermented odor.
- Slimy or sticky texture on the kernels or cob.
- Visible mold growth, which can appear as fuzzy white, green, or black spots.
