Enjoy the sweet, smoky flavor of perfectly grilled leeks! These tender, charred leeks are a versatile addition to salads, pasta dishes, or as a delightful side.
Storage Time
2–3 days in the refrigerator
Temperature
Store refrigerated at 0–4°C (32–40°F) to maintain optimal freshness and prevent bacterial growth.
Freezing
Grilled leeks can be frozen for longer storage. Allow them to cool completely, then portion them into airtight containers or freezer bags, removing as much air as possible. To thaw, transfer the frozen leeks to the refrigerator overnight or gently reheat them in a pan or oven. Freezing may slightly alter the texture, making them softer upon thawing, but the flavor will remain excellent for up to 3 months.
Signs of Spoilage
- Slimy or mushy texture
- Offensive, sour, or fermented odor
