Freezing
To freeze roast quail, allow it to cool completely. Wrap individual portions tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating gently in the oven or on the stovetop to maintain its delicious moisture.
Signs of Spoilage
- A sour or ammonia-like smell emanating from the cooked bird.
- A slimy or sticky texture on the surface of the quail.
