Delight in the delicate sweetness of a strawberry crepe, a classic French treat perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Enjoy fresh strawberries nestled within a tender, thin pancake, often enhanced with a touch of whipped cream or powdered sugar.
Storage Time
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftover strawberry crepes can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. For longer preservation, freezing is an excellent option.
Temperature
Store refrigerated at 0–4°C (32–40°F).
Freezing
To freeze strawberry crepes, allow them to cool completely. Stack them with parchment paper or wax paper in between to prevent sticking. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 1-2 months for optimal quality. To thaw, remove from the freezer and let them defrost in the refrigerator overnight, or gently warm them in a low oven or microwave. Note that the texture of the strawberries may soften slightly after freezing and thawing.
Signs of Spoilage
- Visible mold growth on the crepe or strawberries.
- A sour or fermented smell emanating from the crepe.
- Slimy or sticky texture on the crepe or filling.
