Storage Time
Store refrigerated banana squash purée in an airtight container for 3–4 days. For longer preservation, freeze for up to 6 months.
Temperature
Refrigerate at or below 4°C (40°F). For freezing, maintain a temperature of -18°C (0°F) or lower.
Freezing
Allow the banana squash purée to cool completely before portioning it into freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. For optimal quality, leave a small headspace as the purée may expand during freezing. To thaw, transfer the frozen purée to the refrigerator overnight or gently reheat it on the stovetop or in the microwave. Note that texture may slightly change after freezing and thawing, but flavor remains excellent.
