Indulge in the creamy, tangy delight of Greek frozen yogurt, a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream. Perfectly preserved, it offers a refreshing treat for any occasion, maintaining its delightful texture and flavor when stored correctly.
Storage Time
Once opened, consume within 1-2 weeks if kept consistently frozen. If thawed, it should be consumed within 24 hours.
Temperature
Store at or below -18°C (0°F) in the freezer.
Freezing
Greek frozen yogurt is already frozen, so refreezing thawed yogurt is not recommended as it can significantly degrade its texture, leading to iciness and a less smooth consistency. If you must refreeze a small amount that has been out for a very short period (less than 30 minutes) and shows no signs of thawing, do so quickly. To thaw, place the container in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Avoid thawing at room temperature to prevent bacterial growth.
Signs of Spoilage
- Presence of ice crystals on the surface, indicating repeated thawing and refreezing or freezer burn.
- Off-putting sour or fermented smell upon opening.
- Significant change in texture, becoming watery, grainy, or excessively hard.
