Mysore Pak with Pistachio is a rich, melt-in-your-mouth Indian sweet made from gram flour, sugar, ghee, and adorned with crunchy pistachios. This decadent treat is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored properly to extend its shelf life, retaining its delicious flavor and texture for longer.
Storage Time
2-3 days in the pantry, 1 week in the refrigerator, or up to 2 months in the freezer.
Temperature
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate at 4-7°C (40-45°F).
Freezing
To freeze Mysore Pak with Pistachio, wrap individual pieces tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in an airtight container or freezer bag to prevent freezer burn. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving. Freezing may slightly alter the texture, making it slightly more crumbly, but the flavor will remain intact.
Signs of Spoilage
- Development of a sour or rancid smell.
- Visible mold growth on the surface.
- Significant change in texture, becoming overly dry or sticky.
- Discoloration or darkening of the sweet.
