Enjoy the delightful sweetness of homemade raisin muffins, a perfect treat for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Properly stored, these tender baked goods can maintain their delicious flavor and texture for extended periods.
Storage Time
3–4 days at room temperature, up to 7 days in the refrigerator, and 2–3 months in the freezer.
Temperature
Store at room temperature (18–22°C) for short-term, or refrigerate at 0–4°C for longer freshness.
Freezing
Raisin muffins freeze exceptionally well. For best results, allow muffins to cool completely. Wrap each muffin individually in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. To thaw, remove from the freezer and let them come to room temperature for a few hours, or gently reheat in a low oven (150°C) for 5-10 minutes for a freshly baked experience. Freezing may slightly alter the texture, making them a bit denser.
Signs of Spoilage
- Visible mold growth (fuzzy spots of green, white, or black).
- A sour or off odor, distinct from the usual sweet, baked aroma.
- A tough, dry, or stale texture that crumbles excessively or feels hard to the touch.
